Lap 369: David Stremme and David Reutimann wreck in front of Harvick on the frontstretch, but Harvick is able to check up and avoid getting caught up in the mishap. The caution is out.
Lap 368: Harvick restarts the race 19th and back on the lead lap.
Lap 366: Harvick drops onto pit road for the ninth time today. Crew chief Gil Martin reminds his tire changers to make sure they tighten all the lug nuts.
Lap 363: There's another caution caused by debris. Harvick says his car is "way better." He thinks he can get a top-15 finish.
Lap 335: The green flag is shown once more. Harvick is 23rd, one lap down to leader Jimmie Johnson.
Lap 332: The Shell Chevrolet is on pit road.
Lap 331: The race's eighth yellow flag is out, for debris. Harvick says his car begins to turn better about halfway through a run.
Lap 300: There are 100 laps to go. Harvick is 25th.
Lap 290: The green flag is back out. Harvick is 24th, the fourth car one lap down.
Lap 285: A wreck involving Paul Menard and Robby Gordon on the backstretch brings out the caution. it's the seventh yellow flag of the afternoon.
Lap 280: Harvick is up to 25th on the restart.
Lap 277: Harvick comes in for service, which is completed in 15 seconds flat.
Lap 276: The caution is out for debris. Harvick says he needs to get the front tires working again. He says he has no issues with grip in the rear tires.
Lap 236: The caution period ends with Harvick in 27th place.
Lap 234: Harvick brings the Shell Chevrolet onto pit road. The crew takes 16.4 seconds to complete its work.
Lap 232: The caution is out for Denny Hamlin's accident. Harvick asks for a bottle of water when he comes in for service.
Lap 206: Harvick says that he's too tight in the middle of the turns.
Lap 200: At the halfway point, Harvick is 27th in the running order.
Lap 169: Harvick runs 28th when the race restarts. He's still a lap down.
Lap 165: Harvick is on pit road. The crew will bolt on four tires and place a round of wedge in the right rear.
Lap 164: The caution is out for debris. On his stop, the crew will reverse some of its previous adjustments. The crew will put the track bar back where it was.
Lap 147: Harvick has apparently scraped the wall, but the damage doesn't appear to be serious.
Lap 145: Harvick isn't happy with the adjustments made on his car.
Lap 127: Harvick is the first car one lap down. If the caution comes out, he would get the free pass to get back on the lead lap.
Lap 123: The green flag is out. Harvick is 27th, one lap down.
Lap 121: Harvick is on pit road. It takes the team nine seconds to complete its work.
Lap 118: Harvick says that it's "ridiculous" how bad the team's luck is. He'll be coming in to take on two tires.
Lap 116: The caution is out for debris. It catches Harvick a lap down, in 26th position.
Lap 115: Instead, Harvick dives onto pit road. He'll take on four tires.
Lap 113: Harvick asks how long it'll be until he pits. He's told that it'll be about 13 more laps.
Lap 100: Running 21st, Harvick is less than a straightaway from going a lap down.
Lap 83: Harvick is running 22nd, 17.9 seconds behind leader Jimmie Johnson.
Lap 67: There's a report of debris, but so far, it hasn't brought out a caution.
Lap 48: Harvick is 23rd when the green flag is shown again.
Lap 45: Harvick pits for two tires, fuel and adjustments.
Lap 44: The caution is out after Tony Raines' car cuts a right front tire. Harvick says that although he's still too loose in the turns, his car is "a lot better" than the cars around him. He asks if he can take two tires in order to get away from the "squirrels."
Lap 35: When the race goes back to green, Harvick is 32nd in the running order.
Lap 33: Team owner Richard Childress says that on the last four or five laps, Harvick was as fast as any other car. Harvick is also told that the tires taken off his car looked "fine."
Lap 31: Harvick has made his way to pit road. The stop lasts 15.4 seconds.
Lap 30: NASCAR throws a competition caution. Harvick says he's loose in the center and all the way off the turns. He'll take on four tires and the Shell crew will make adjustments. He says the car got better late in the run.
Lap 29: Harvick is told by crew chief Gil Martin, "I don't know what you did that last lap, but it was a lot better."
Lap 27: Harvick trails leader David Reutimann by 20.37 seconds. He's about a quarter of a mile from being lapped.
Lap 22: Harvick should be pitting in about nine more laps.
Lap 16: Having dropped back to 37th, Harvick says his car is "terrible."
Lap 13: After picking up four spots earlier, Harvick has dropped back to 35th, his original spot on the starting grid.
Lap 9: Harvick quickly reports that his car is loose, mainly off the turns.
2:18 p.m.: The green flag comes out, and the Autism Speaks 400 is underway.
2:15 p.m.: Cars have made their way onto the track. Harvick is told by crew chief Gil Martin, "I can't think of a better day to turn this deal around."
2:07 p.m.: The command to fire engines is given.
Race-day: Harvick will start 35th for the Autism Speaks 400. It's his worst starting spot of the season.
Pre-Race: The Shell Chevrolet that Kevin Harvick will drive this weekend at Dover was piloted by Clint Bowyer in five races last year and eight in 2007. The last time it was on the track was in March of this year at Bristol, where Casey Mears took it to a 24th-place showing.
In 16 Sprint Cup races at Dover, Harvick has posted two top-five and six top-10 finishes. His best Dover showing is a third in June 2006.
Team owner Richard Childress has a total of four wins at Dover, the most recent by Jeff Burton in September 2006. Dale Earnhardt scored the team's other three victories at the one-mile speedway. Last fall at Dover, all three Richard Childress Racing entries finished in the top 10 -- Harvick sixth, Bowyer eighth and Burton ninth.
