Lap 139: "I can't even hold the frickin' thing down now," Harvicks says. The front of the car, he continues, "feels like it's a mile in the air."
Lap 135: Harvick exclaims, "Wow! This thing is tight."
Lap 131: Harvick is 19th when the race restarts.
Lap 129: Harvick says, "We may not ever get it today, but we're sure as h*** going to try."
Lap 129: Harvick comes to a stop in his pit stall, and the crew goes to work. The stop lasts 40 seconds.
Lap 128: Crew chief Gil Martin tells the crew to stack the right-rear spring with rubber spacers, an attempt to improve the car's wicked handling problems.
Lap 127: The team is going to try another "huge swing" in air pressure in the tires it bolts onto Harvick's machine.
Lap 126: Brian Vickers spins off turn four to bring out the caution.
Lap 124: Harvick spots debris in the middle of turn two. His spotter says that it's off the car of Juan Pablo Montoya.
Lap 121: Jimmie Johnson laps Harvick between turns one and two.
Lap 115: Leader Jimmie Johnson is closing in on Harvick to put him a lap down.
Lap 112: "How we practice for two days and end up like this is beyond me," Harvick fumes.
Lap 109: The next scheduled stop will be in about 19 laps.
Lap 105: Harvick complains that the right rear tire feels like it has "a thousand pounds" of air in it. He continues, saying the tire is sliding all over the race track.
Lap 97: Harvick says the car is sideways getting into the turns and when he mashes the gas, and tight off the corners. He says the team has something "so screwed up" in tire pressures.
Lap 94: Harvick is now 22nd, 17.56 seconds behind leader Greg Biffle. On the track, that's about half a lap.
Lap 91: Harvick's car is still too loose, but now, it pushes off the turns as well.
Lap 79: The car's handling has gone the other way. It's now "tight, tight, tight," according to Harvick.
Lap 75: As soon as the green flag flies again, most of the field begins to stack up. Incredibly, everyone is able to maintain control.

Lap 65: Harvick is about half a straightaway from being lapped. He tells crew chief Gil Martin that he's still a little too loose, "especially behind people."
Lap 63: After the cycle of green-flag stops, Harvick is shown 25th on the leader board, 26.88 seconds behind leader Jimmie Johnson.
Lap 60: Team owner Richard Childress tells Harvick that he's about a tenth of a second fasters than the leader.
Lap 59: Harvick says of the pit stop, "I don't feel like I'm going to die any more."

Lap 12: The crash off turn two has thinned out the herd in front of Harvick, leaving him 25th on the restart.
Lap 9: A few cars come in for service, but Harvick chooses to stay on the track.
Lap 7: A multi-car crash off turn two causes another yellow flag to be thrown.
Lap 6: Harvick is 35th on the restart.
Lap 2: The caution is out for Joey Logano's accident.

Pre-Race: The car Kevin Harvick is driving this weekend has been used several times this season. Most recently, Harvick took the machine to a second-place finish at Atlanta.
In eight previous Cup starts at Kansas, Harvick's best finishes are a trio of sixth-place efforts.
Harvick will start 38th in the Price Chopper 400. It's his worst starting spot of the season.
